“I have had a Samsung TV in the past, I went with a LG this time but the screen take much more adjusting to get a comparable picture. That being said it is still darker than what im used to.”

I find my TV to be the same. I have tried every setting and am not impressed with the picture quality. The site referenced by LG does not really answer this question. I wish I could adjust the backlight a bit to help. I have Sony and Samsung TVs in our house in addition to this one. Those pictures are much more brilliant and better.
