A:Answer Refresh rate is the number of times per second a complete screen image is displayed. Most notable when watching fast moving objects, such as a ball game. For normal programming, such as movies, the refresh rate is not important. An inadequate rate appears as a tearing of the moving object on the screen. Generally a rate of 120 Hz, or frames per second, is recommended.
