A:AnswerI wear hearing aids too (Phonak) and struggle connecting them to high definition TVs and home theaters. I suspect the audio-in port on your HA device accommodates a 1/8" stereo mini-plug audio input. My experience using this HA device audio-in port requires a 1/8" audio-out port on the TV. TV audio-out ports can also be labeled headphone outputs. Sometimes a TV may have Left & Right audio-out RCA jacks that you can use with a "Y" RCA L/R stereo plugs - - to mini 1/8 male adapter.
Usually you can make either method work just keep in mind that if you are watching video with multi-channel audio programming (ie. movies or broadcast TV with 5.1 surround sound) you will be connected only to the Left and Right channel audio. You will miss the center and L/R rear channel information.
Hearing aids by definition are stereo devices. Connecting them to any multi-channel audio source is problematic. To avoid this problem, I connect using stereo only.
A:AnswerI bought the same tv. Amazing tv to start off with. Beautiful picture. Mine is exactly 2 years old and I very suddenly notice burn in at the top and bottom of the screen. As far as I know there is now way to repair. Very disappointed in LG.
A:Answeras long as it supports the weight of about 60 pounds you're fine. the TV will 'stick out' on both ends, but if you don't care about that then no biggie. My tv sits on a slightly smaller stand, and sticks out 3" which is barely noticeable. with a 45" tv stand your TV will stick out at least 6" on each side. If that doesn't bother you then go for it!
A:AnswerI bought mine around the time the 2018 model was being released. There's more processing power in the 2018 model with that AI chip. It's the same panel, and they both have the hdr and codec support.
A:AnswerI do see a good amount of glare off the glass of the screen. There are default settings for light and dark rooms, but I've found that the blacks are so dark that I've had to turn off power saving mode and boost the brightness settings. Dark shows like Stranger Things can end up being impossible to see if you don't manually boost the bright.
A:AnswerYes probably, because I guess that LG smart TVs still have IR sensors too, so you can use a learning or universal IR remote, such as OneForAll URC6440, which has backlit buttons. That model works for our LG 55UR91006LA but OFA customer services could recommend a current one.
