Depends on your skill for the in-wall routing of the cable which would require dry wall intrusion/repair. Finding an extension ribbon cable, that's a challenge. I've been trying to find one for a few months. I tried LG's customer support and received a generic list of retailers who carry their products. No luck. That said, I can't say enough about the TV ... absolutely gorgeous, no regrets. That said, the installation is a bit challenging and definitely requires two persons. If you have any luck in finding an extension ribbon cable, please post a response here. I'm unsure if it is a standardized ribbon cable connector or not (I've not checked). Good luck.
