“Can this setup be used for outdoor movie night, or does it require a WiFi connection? I don’t want to use the voice commands, just want a surround sound system to connect to my projector in the backyard & may not always have a wifi connection.”

The speakers can be used without Wi-Fi. Network connection is only needed for “Google Home” app. ^Daphane
