- Answer The dryer is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side. An adapter kit, part number 3911EZ9131X, may be purchased from an LG retailer, https://www.lg.com/us/laundry-accessories/lg-3911ez9131x. The swing door hinge is reversible to open left to right or vice versa. This dryer is compatible with a pedestal. ^Daphane

- Answer If your "energy star dryer" is an LG dryer, the pedestal you are using with it will only be compatible with LG Front Load dryers (i.e. controls on the front) that have the same width as the pedestal. The LG 7.3 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry - White, Model # DLE6100W, is a top load dryer (i.e. controls on the rear guard in the back), so it is incompatible with LG Laundry pedestals...^Ivan.

- Answer There is a buildup where the lint is flowing through the dryer vent. Check the outside vent and remove the buildup lint if possible. You can also run a dryer vent brush up the vent to remove any blockage.
