Hi there! We understand your inquiry about the steam function on the LG DLE7400WE Electric Dryer. This particular model does not include Steam Technology, so here’s how the experience differs between steam-equipped dryers and your DLE7400WE: With Steam Technology: Models that feature steam (for example, the DLE3500W or DLG3801W) offer a SteamFresh™ cycle to quickly refresh lightly worn garments, reduce wrinkles, and sanitize fabrics using a burst of steam. You’d hook up a cold-water line, and the dryer injects steam mid-cycle to revitalize your load without a full wash. Without Steam Technology (DLE7400WE): Since your model doesn’t have steam, you can achieve similar wrinkle-reduction and freshness by using the Wrinkle Care option (which tumbles the load periodically after the cycle ends) or the Damp Dry Signal on a shorter cycle. These features help prevent creasing when you can’t unload immediately. Troubleshooting Tip: To optimize wrinkle care on your DLE7400WE, make sure you: Don’t overload the drum—leave enough room for garments to tumble freely. Select the Wrinkle Care option after your Normal or Delicates cycle. Remove items promptly when the cycle (or tumble-down) finishes to keep fabrics smooth. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dle7400we-electric-dryer#pdp_specs For any further assistance—whether it’s setting up alternative wrinkle-control options, cycle recommendations, or feature guidance—please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions.
