  • QuestionI have limited depth to work with - how much additional clearance is needed in the rear for installation? Can this fit installed in an area with 32 inches of depth?

    Asked by jmb22.

    • Answer I recently purchased this same dryer. The closest that I could get it located against the back wall has it sticking out around 34 to 34.5". My venting is through the floor, so the diameter of the vent hose determines how close it can be installed, plus any baseboard. It still might be the same if your venting connect is coming through the back wall, although you may not have a baseboard to deal with, you'll still need to allow space for the vent hose to be turned to line up with the vent. The photo shows the installation looking straight down behind the dryer. Hope this helps.

  • QuestionI don’t understand why the energy saver mode blows cold air yet runs longer? I can’t find anything about that in the manual. Thank you!

    Asked by Eric.

    • Answer Hi, Energy Saver-- This option helps to reduce energy consumption in the Normal cycle, depending on the load size. When the Energy Saver option is selected, the cycle begins with an air dry section and the drying time is increased. The Energy Saver option is turned on by default in the Normal cycle. Turn off the Energy Saver option for a faster Normal cycle which begins with heated drying. This option allows the Energy Saver settings to be changed. To run a Normal cycle without the Energy Saver option, press and hold the Energy Saver button for three seconds. ON or OFF appears in the display. ^Vanessa

  • QuestionWhat’s the difference in the steam function with or without

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there! We understand your inquiry about the steam function on the LG DLE7400WE Electric Dryer. This particular model does not include Steam Technology, so here’s how the experience differs between steam-equipped dryers and your DLE7400WE: With Steam Technology: Models that feature steam (for example, the DLE3500W or DLG3801W) offer a SteamFresh™ cycle to quickly refresh lightly worn garments, reduce wrinkles, and sanitize fabrics using a burst of steam. You’d hook up a cold-water line, and the dryer injects steam mid-cycle to revitalize your load without a full wash. Without Steam Technology (DLE7400WE): Since your model doesn’t have steam, you can achieve similar wrinkle-reduction and freshness by using the Wrinkle Care option (which tumbles the load periodically after the cycle ends) or the Damp Dry Signal on a shorter cycle. These features help prevent creasing when you can’t unload immediately. Troubleshooting Tip: To optimize wrinkle care on your DLE7400WE, make sure you: Don’t overload the drum—leave enough room for garments to tumble freely. Select the Wrinkle Care option after your Normal or Delicates cycle. Remove items promptly when the cycle (or tumble-down) finishes to keep fabrics smooth. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dle7400we-electric-dryer#pdp_specs For any further assistance—whether it’s setting up alternative wrinkle-control options, cycle recommendations, or feature guidance—please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions.
