Yes, the dryer door can be flipped. The manual tells you how to do it, but it is an involved process. My suggestion: put it in your purchase contract that the installer will do it. We didn't, the delivery people installed the washer and dryer and were gone before my wife could check the installation and remind them to change the door to open the proper way. But we shouldn't have had to tell them. Anybody can see that when the washer is to the right of the dryer, and a wall is to the left of the dryer, the door should open from right to left. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that the door needed to be reversed. My wife called the store when she saw that the door had not been reversed. The store passed the buck and said to call the delivery people. My wife did, and they said they'd sent the crew back at the end of the day. They didn't, and we never heard anything more. We're still annoyed with Best Buy and their delivery service, and still living with a door that doesn't open the right way. GRRRRRRR. My advice, buy somewhere else with better delivery and customer service. I'm a very unhappy customer for sure.

The door still swings open to provide easy access for unloading or loading of bulkier items. The door hinge can be reversed to adjust to the installation location. ^CP

A "special team" had to be dispatched to do the work, because the "normal team" was not "qualified" to do it. However, the special team (2 guys) got it done in about an hour, and it works great! Yes, it still has the "two-way" open feature (from the top and from the now opposite-side).
