Like most ceramic cooktops, the ceramic cooktop on the LG 7.3 Cu. Ft. Self-Clean Slide-In Double Oven Electric Smart Wi-Fi Range with Convection, Model # LTE4815ST is scratch resistant but it is not scratch proof as you pointed out. Sometimes marks may appear on the glass ceramic that seem to be scratches but are really marks from a pan or pot and can be removed by cleaning. You should only use pans and pots with smooth bottoms while cooking on the ceramic cooktop and periodically scrub the bottom of your pans to remove any burned on food that will scratch or damage the stove. Never move the pans and pots back and forth across the surface, pick them up instead...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think of it like glass. Don’t slide things across it, use only flat bottom pans, clean up food spills each time. Use ceramabryte products to clean. If you are not familiar, it comes as a package of a liquid cleaner, special scrub pad, and razor blade scraper. I have had ceramic cooktops for 18 years and would not change.
