“For this dryer (LG Gas Dryer 3401) does the 30 inch depth reflect the depth near the base of the dryer, or does it reflect depth in middle of dryer where door sticks out a couple of inches”

The 30 inches covers about 2 inches in the back of the dryer that sticks out as well as allows for the space needed in front for the control knob and door.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The depth of 30" is the front to back measurement of the unit. This dryer has been tested for clearances of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and rear. Additional clearances should be considered on all sides of the dryer to reduce noise transfer. Additional clearances should be considered for ease of installation and servicing. ^Daphane
