• A:Answer If you are using a rigid pipe with the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.4 cu. Ft. Smart Front Load Gas Dryer with AI Sensor Dry & TurboSteam™ Technology, Model # DLGX6501W, the rigid pipe should be 0.5-inch IPS. If acceptable under your local codes and ordinances and when acceptable to your gas supplier, 3/8-inch approved tubing (3/8” NPT gas Connection, and a 1/8” NPT Pipe Plug) may be used where lengths are less than 20 ft. (6.1 m). Larger tubing should be used for lengths in excess of 20 ft. (6.1 m). Gas pressure must not exceed 10.5-inch (26.7 cm) water column for Natural Gas, or 13-inch (33.1 cm) water column for Liquefied Propane (LP) gas....^Ivan.

This dryer is designed with multiple venting options, including the bottom, left, and rear. While it comes configured to vent from the rear, it can be converted to vent from the side. For gas dryer models like yours, the right-side venting is generally not available when facing the dryer; therefore, the side vent option would be on the left side. Q: QuestionThe response said that the unit supports vertical venting. Does that mean there is a knock out on the top so I can go straight up into a cabinet and then 2 90’s to the crawl space? No room in back except maybe a periscope vent no more than 2 inches thick

While the washer and dryer can be stacked using the compatible stacking kit, unfortunately, reversing the stack (placing the dryer on the bottom) is not recommended or supported. The dryer is always designed to be placed on top due to weight distribution and safety concerns. That said, the DLGX5501V does support vertical venting, side venting, and bottom venting using an optional side vent kit (Part #383EEL9001B).
