A:AnswerYes it works… I have the Sp8ya. A huge difference in sound!!! Well worth it! It uses 5ghz so as someone mentioned turn that off on your WiFi and you’re all set

A:AnswerYes it is. I had to go to the website to download the manual there to figure out how to pair the speakers to the soundbar as the manual on the website has additional information that isn't in the owners manual that comes with the product. The one on the website does list the SL9YG as a compatible model.
A:AnswerTry downloading the LG SoundBar app. It should have some of the functionality you're looking for. I searched for an hour before I found a tip about the app - was trying to connect the Spk8 speakers to the SL4y SoundBar. The app solved my problem and made connecting the rear speakers easy. Good luck!
A:AnswerIs there a light , green light that is on a satellite tower ? that the rear speakers are plugged into , this will show you that it's receiving a signal from the soundbar !!! and depending on the age of the movie , not all four speakers work all the time , the rears might just come on when it's in surround sound or depending on the channel and how it's broadcasting the movie so on or so forth , so don't expect everything broadcasted to be playing all 4 speakers !!! probably 90% or maybe a little bit more will though !!!

A:Answer15 to 20 feet , but moreover you have to make sure the satellite tower that receives the signal from the soundbar is in the line of sight , and the green light is on , showing you that it's receiving !!! so the speakers that are plugged into it will get the sound !!!!
