There really isn't a LG QNED 83 on the LG webpage. The 83 Model is a Holiday Marketing item that some retailers bring out for the Holidays. My guess it's either a rebranded 80 series or hopefully a 85. The specs on the Best Buy page are sketchy at best. You don't want the 80 series since it is only and Edge Lit display. The 85 and up have Mini LED Display which is much superior. And they have Precision Dimming instead of just regular Local Dimming. So the better questions would be is does the 83 Model have a Mini LED Display and the A7 Gen 5 Processor. In which case it is a rebranded 85.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.@IndyTom - this one does have miniLED but has a a7 Gen 4 AI Processor 4K, not the a7 Gen 5. Not sure what kind of a difference that makes. Also both claim to have Full Array Local Dimming so it sounds like they have the same backlight.
