Q: QuestionWhat is the difference (besides the price) between the LG 83 Series QNED and the LG 85 Series QNED? On the LG webpage the LG 83 does not exist. So it makes me wonder if it is just a rebranded 80 series TV and just a Marketing Gimmick for the Holidays.
Asked by IndyTom.
- A:Answer I also am considering this TV. Same as you I called LG and Best Buy and cannot get an answer. So which is it? Rebranded 80, 85, 90? Also why is it $1000 off now, or is the $2499 an inflated price? I don't like the shenanigans with getting info on this TV. Then I look at the reviews and people seem to like it. Confused as to what to do.

Q: QuestionWhere does the LG QNED 83 TV compare to the standard LG QNED Versions 80, 85 and 90? Which is most similar & what are differences?
Asked by HokieMike2.
- A:Answer There really isn't a LG QNED 83 on the LG webpage. The 83 Model is a Holiday Marketing item that some retailers bring out for the Holidays. My guess it's either a rebranded 80 series or hopefully a 85. The specs on the Best Buy page are sketchy at best. You don't want the 80 series since it is only and Edge Lit display. The 85 and up have Mini LED Display which is much superior. And they have Precision Dimming instead of just regular Local Dimming. So the better questions would be is does the 83 Model have a Mini LED Display and the A7 Gen 5 Processor. In which case it is a rebranded 85.
