A:AnswerIt is unlikely that other than professional reviewers, you will find an actual consumer who owns the similar size TVs from Samsung and LG. The went through the same thought process. I had a 55" Samsung which, one fine morning, decided to quit altogether. It was about 7 yrs old and HDMI ports had stopped functioning one at a time without reason or warning. When the display died, only 2 of the 5 ports were working. I did my research and read professional reviews. The two technologies are similar in quality and the TVs are priced fairly close (LG was a bit cheaper when I bought). For me, the decision came to audio quality and the user interface. My understanding of the reviews was LG was better on audio and user interface side. In my experience with older Samsung, the LG audio is better. However, on the user interface side, Web OS is a disaster. It is pretty much impossible to figure things out and it does not come with a printed user guide that you can browse through in one shot to get an overall idea of capabilities.
