Off air reception works well but this is not an issue for the TV but your antenna. Cheap antennae receive poor signals. Depends on the signal strength of the transmitter of the content, the direction of the antenna, and weather can play a role. Recommend a bow-tie HD air antenna placed high in the house (attic) and pointed toward the most concentrated area of broadcasters.

The LG 86UT7590PUA outdoor TV is designed to withstand some rain, but its performance may vary depending on the specific IP rating and weather resistance features. The IPX5 rating means it can handle low-pressure water jets from any direction, providing some protection against light rain. However, it may not be suitable for heavy downpours. If you need a TV that can withstand heavy rain, consider outdoor TVs from brands like SunBriteTV, Séura, or Furrion, which have higher IP ratings (IPX4 or higher). To further protect your TV from rain exposure, make sure to install it with weatherproof mounts and covers.
