• No, this does NOT play 4K Ultra HD discs, only BluRay, DVD, or audio CD.

• The WH16NS60 is able to play 4K discs. Most, it not all drives that feature the Ultra-HD Blu-ray™ logo on them will play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. • Yes, it will play a 4k disc, just like a regular blu-ray player. BUT I do not know if it will output a 4k image.
