“I have two USB ports but they aren't next to each other. Is the cord that comes w/ the unit long enough to reach both sides of a laptop?”

• You only need 1 usb port to play DVDs, blu-rays, 4k blu-rays, the only time you need to plug in the other USB is when you want to burn disks and that can be done via usb port into the computer if that cant be done for whatever the reason you can get an extension USB cord and plug it into a usb power adapter. [ like most smart phones now days come with a usb power adapter]

• The two USB ports are only separated with a short cable. I measured and the two USB ports have to be within 4 inches or it wont reach the other port.
