“I am just looking for an external player to watch movies on my Surface laptop which doesnt have a disc drive and only one usb port. Why are there a couple reviews that say you need two usb ports for it to work?”

• You only need one USB port. Not sure why others say you need two. Plug in the cord from player to laptop and you are good to go.

• You only need 1 usb port to play DVDs, blu-rays, 4k blu-rays, the only time you need to plug in the other USB is when you want to burn discs. ^CP
