Music will be copied, yes, and it will extract the metadata necessary for the software you use to rip that data, to retrieve song titles, and artwork. Those two elements are not stored on the cd but retrieved by such software. To be fair, most software can do that, if you have Windows, for example, the Windows Media Player will do it.
