• The Power DVD software that is included with the drive should play back Blu Ray movie disks. If the included software doesn't work or install on the PC, VLC player 3.x. does support Blu Ray disc playback as long as the AACS decryption key library is installed which VLC player does not include.

• You do not need any other software. The Cyberlink software that comes with the drive is all you need.

• The supplied software doesn’t work correctly they make you pay to get the newer software. Just download leawoo because it’s free and it should work.. money hungry LG products

• You should be able to use VLC as well but the included software is all you need.

• PowerDVD should be able to play it ok. It played on mine but I use Windows Media to play dvds.
