• It can be used to rip footage from DVDs and Blu-Rays, but you will need to obtain separate software to do that.

• The device can read/write Blu-ray Disc (Including BDXL, M-Disc), DVD (Including M-DISC & DVD-RAM), and CD. It comes with a Blu-ray Drive Install Disc for Windows (Power DVD, Power 2 Go, Power Producer, and Media Espresso. ^Daphane
