I bought this Blu-ray writer for my ASUS laptop. It plays DVD discs but not Blu-ray. Apparently my laptop doesn't have a graphics card. Is that normal? null

Several laptops do not have a dedicated gpu card and instead use the onboard processor for video.
Note that if you want to play BluRays you need to install the included software.
This is because windows does not have a native BluRay decoder enabled media player.

Yes, my daughter has an Asus laptop. It was supposed to have Blu-ray. It will play older Blu-rays not not newer formats.
