Yes, as long as your laptop has 2 available USB ports next to one another. One for data and the other for additional power to the drive.

Yes it can be hooked up to a laptop computer. However, your computer needs to have 2 USB ports right next to each other because 1 port is used to connect the drive and the other port is used for power. Some laptops have 2 USB drives but they are on opposite side of the device and the USB cable that comes with the Blu Ray drive is very short. Hope this helps.
