No, a true Atmos set up, will be superior to this soundbar. Dolby Atmos has different standards for soundbars to be Atmos qualified. That all being said, this sounds great, takes up less space in our room than our previous surround sound, and it leverages our TV (LG G2) as an extra center speaker.

This is for very small rooms with a low ceiling. For dialogue but not music. Or people who don’t care about sound reproduction.
