The fridge itself is deeper than 28". I think I understand the footprint you want to put it in, but the fridge doors will stick out a little over an inch beyond that 28". How much room do you have in front of the fridge? You need at least 18" in front to open a door 90 degrees without hitting anything, and more if you plan on standing in front of the door(s) while open, and not basically standing to the side and opening one door at a time and standing between them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry about the LG LRFXC2606S French Door Refrigerator. We understand you're concerned about whether your 38-inch wide and 28-inch deep space will allow the fridge doors to fully open without hitting the walls. Given that the refrigerator's width is 35.75 inches, it will fit comfortably within your 38-inch wide space. However, to fully open the doors without obstruction, you'll need additional space beyond the fridge's width. When the doors are open 90˚ with the handle, the total width is 44.88 inches, and without the handle, it's 40 inches. This means your 38-inch wide opening might not provide enough clearance to fully open the doors without some interference from the walls. https://www.lg.com/us/refrigerators/lg-lrfxc2606s-french-3-door-refrigerator#pdp_specs We recommend measuring your available space carefully and considering the placement of any nearby obstacles.
