Q: QuestionThe ice cubes in the ice tray keep clumping together into one solid block, as if excess water is being added after the cubes have already frozen. I read that this is likely caused by the ice maker not shutting off properly during the fill cycle. Help.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Ice clumping in the Energy Star® Qualified LG 26.5 cu. Ft. Smart Counter-Depth MAX™ French Door Refrigerator, Model # LRFLC2706S, can be caused by several factors, including high humidity levels, improper door sealing, overloading the refrigerator, incorrect temperature settings, and the weight of the ice itself. High humidity levels can lead to condensation on the refrigerator's surfaces, while improper door sealing can allow warm air to enter, causing moisture to freeze. Overloading the refrigerator can restrict airflow, preventing the cold air from cooling all surfaces. Incorrect temperature settings can result in excessive cooling, causing moisture to freeze and form ice sheets. Additionally, the weight of the ice itself can cause it to clump together. To prevent ice clumping, it is essential to ensure that the refrigerator door seals properly, minimize door openings, and maintain the correct temperature settings. While it is possible that the clumping is likely caused by the ice maker not shutting off properly during the fill cycle, the more likely cause is a normal phenomenon in which moisture from ice evaporates naturally, and adjacent ice cubes stick together due to moisture on the ice. If the refrigerator door is left open for a long time in a humid environment, such as in summer, or if the door is not closed completely, ice cubes may melt and then stick together. If the ice is not used for a long time, the ice stored in the ice storage bin will become smaller or stick together due to moisture evaporation. If the ice sticks together, take out the ice storage bin and shake it to separate the ice cubes. If the adhered ice is not separated even after shaking the ice storage bin, throw away the ice, and replace the ice storage bin after washing In summer, lower the temperature of the freezer and fridge and make sure that the doors are closed properly. When the humidity is high, such as in summer or during the rainy season, if the freezer door is left open for a long time or there is a gap in the door, heat and moisture may enter and cause the ice to melt or stick together...^Ivan.

Q: QuestionWE JUST PURCHASED THIS REFRIGERATOR IN JAN. 2025' .. ALL OF A SUDDEN IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS WE HAVE NOTICED THE ICE IS NOT MAKING AS MUCH ICE AS ORIGINALLY.... WHAT SHOULD I DO ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry about your LG refrigerator LRFLC2706S and the reduced ice production you’ve noticed over the past three weeks. According to LG’s “Why is My Refrigerator Not Making Enough Ice?” guide, several factors can cause slower ice production, even in a unit installed in January 2025. First, check the freezer temperature. LG recommends setting the freezer at or below -4°F (-20°C) for optimal ice production; if it’s warmer, ice will form more slowly. Please verify the current temperature reading in the freezer compartment and adjust it if needed. Next, consider recent usage patterns. Frequent door openings or added food blocking airflow can raise internal temperatures, reducing ice output. Ensure vents inside the freezer aren’t obstructed, and minimize door openings where possible to maintain steady cold. Also confirm the ice maker is turned on and there are no error indicators. If your model displays any error codes, refer to LG’s error code troubleshooting article for guidance. If no codes appear, manually cycle the ice maker off and on or perform its test/reset procedure per the Owner’s Manual to reset its operation. Check the water supply and filter: a clogged or overdue water filter can limit water flow to the ice maker, leading to less ice. If the filter hasn’t been replaced in the last six months, please replace it with a genuine LG filter. Additionally, inspect the water line behind the refrigerator for kinks or low pressure that might impede flow. If your refrigerator includes an Ice Plus or Express Freeze feature, you may activate it to boost ice production: this runs the compressor continuously for a few hours to lower freezer temperature more quickly. Use this feature when the freezer is already at or below 0°F. Since your unit has been in service several months, also verify that the door gasket seals properly; a compromised seal can allow warm air ingress, affecting ice production. Clean and inspect the gasket for damage or debris, ensuring a tight closure. We’d be happy to guide you through further diagnostics—such as running the ice maker’s test mode—or arrange service if necessary. Q: Questionwill this fit a 73 x 36 x 25 cut out?
Asked by Toya.
- A:Answer Hello there, Toya. We understand your inquiry about fitting the LG LRFLC2706S into a 73″ H × 36″ W × 25″ D cut-out. Here’s how it compares to the manufacturer’s requirements: Minimum Cut-Out Height: 71 1/4″ (your 73″ is OK) Minimum Cut-Out Width: 36″ (your 36″ is exactly at spec) Minimum Cut-Out Depth: 31 1/4″ (your 25″ is too shallow) Because the counter-depth MAX refrigerator needs at least 31 1/4″ of depth to fully recess the cabinet (and allow for proper air circulation behind the unit), the 25″ deep space won’t accommodate it. Troubleshooting Tip: If you’re set on a built-in look but space is limited, consider either: Recessing the wall or creating a deeper niche to meet the 31 1/4″ depth requirement, ensuring proper ventilation clearances. Choosing a shallower “counter-depth” model with a smaller minimum depth spec. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-counter-depth-max-26-5-cu-ft-french-door-smart-refrigerator-with-internal-water-dispenser-stainless-steel/6511564.p?skuId=6511564 If you’d like personalized guidance—whether it’s on modifying your cut-out, selecting an alternate model, or any other solution—please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions. Q: QuestionCan i adjust glass shelves.

Answered by JamesC
Q: QuestionWhat is the depth of shelves on this unit? I need exact depth as I am considering multiple models but neither of them are on display in my area. If you don't have exact number pls explain with details all the options of shelf depth.
Asked by shelfdepth.
- A:Answer Hi there! We understand your inquiry about the exact shelf depth in your LG LRFLC2706S French 3-Door Refrigerator. While LG’s published specs list the cabinet depth (without doors or handles) as 24.75″ and the overall depth (with handles) as 31.63″, the interior shelf depth isn’t called out as a standalone figure. Here’s how you can interpret and measure the usable shelf space, plus what your options are: Cabinet Depth Reference Depth without Door: 24.75″ Depth with Handles: 31.63″ Subtract roughly 1–1.5″ for rear insulation and the front spill-protector glass lip to estimate a usable shelf depth of approximately 23″–23.5″ from back wall to glass lip. Shelf Configuration & Materials You have 4 split, fixed Spill Protector™ tempered-glass shelves that can support spills and are cantilevered for adjustability on each side. Because they’re split, you can remove one half to accommodate taller items, giving you flexible vertical and horizontal space. Estimating Exact Depth Yourself Remove a shelf by unlocking the front edge and sliding it forward. With a tape measure, measure from the back interior wall to the front edge of the shelf (where the glass lip begins). Note that glass thickness (~0.25″) and any front trim will slightly reduce that measurement. Troubleshooting Tip When measuring, please ensure the refrigerator is level and the shelf is fully seated on its supports. An uneven unit or partially seated shelf can give an inaccurate reading—and may cause items to slide or the shelf to tilt. If you’d like more guidance or need further specification—such as printable diagrams from the user manual—please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. https://www.lg.com/us/refrigerators/lg-lrflc2706s-french-3-door-refrigerator#pdp_specs Our team is here to help with any additional measurements or setup questions so you can confidently compare models and choose the one that fits your needs.
