Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can open and close either side independently. The flange that covers the gap between the two doors is attached to the left door. When you open the left door, it flips in. When you close the left side, there is a track in the top door frame that will glide the flange into place. Nice feature in that you don’t have to worry about which door to close first.

You will LOVE this refrigerator--it is as if angels come flying out singing in glorious harmony when you open the doors. The LED lighting is beautiful and the entire design of the appliance is genius! The dual ice maker is wonderful and there is no bulky ice maker taking up necessary space in the refrigerator. Amazing function and beauty all in one!
