The RAM is not upgradable , this seems to be the trend with most laptop sadly. As for the 32 GB and 1 TB being enough for heavy applications the 32 gig should be more than enough for MOST things, I would even say for about 99% of people it should be enough. So yes there is a small group of people it won't be enough for (data scientist running large LLM etc) but for most people it's more than enough. While the 1 TB storage is decent and with thunderbolt 4 you can always have external storage added which will run just as fast.

We understand your inquiry about the memory and storage being upgradeable for heavy applications. The 32GB LPDDR5X RAM in this unit is soldered to the motherboard and is not upgradeable. However, the laptop features dual M.2 Gen4 NVMe SSD slots, which means the storage can be upgraded. You can add a second SSD or replace the existing one to increase the total storage capacity. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-gram-pro-17-laptop-intel-core-ultra-9-with-32gb-memory-nvidia-rtx5050-1tb-ssd-black/6635753.p?skuId=6635753 We understand your inquiry, and if you have any other questions or need further assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport.
