“I see that this is a countertop microwave, but I will be putting it on an open shelf within my cabinetry. Is 3" inches on either side, 3" on top and 2" behind the microwave enough for ventilation? Thank you”

• The owner manual recommends 4” all around.

• Free airflow around the oven is important. Allow at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides, and back of the oven for proper ventilation. ^CP

• Absolutely. We’ve had a similar one in a closed shelf for years. We simply open the cabinet doors while using it. Microwaves do not radiate the same amount of heat outwards as a small portable oven.
