“Unlike my previous unit, when this unit is running it affects my Bluetooth reception on the headset I wear a lot and also my Alexa. I'm very concerned about the safety of the unit. Any info that can allay my qualms?”

It may have more affect on the microwave itself than your headset if you use an extensive power outlet strip where it may shut down due to signal conflicts.
