• yes you can, you hold the Clear button and the Auto Reheat button for 3 seconds and it will turn off all sounds

• I am afraid to try to turn off the melody until I know if and how it can be turned on again. The tune is pretty annoying, but I might prefer that to nothing, and I’m getting used to it.
