I got the same message. The link they sent me of phones to replace my LG includes the rebel 4 so I guess this would work. I bought this about 2 weeks ago before I got the message and I hope it will work with the network upgrade. Tracfone stopped double and triple minutes so the new phones are minute for minute on the purchased refills. There are also smartphone specific plans. You can use either the original plans, the new smartphone plans or combine them to suit your needs. A search on the Web says your unused minutes will transfer to this phone. I am waiting to transfer the service to this phone until I add more minutes on my current phone as I am getting triple minutes now and hope I will get all the minutes I have unused
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I currently have a working phone with triple minutes for the "Life of the Phone" contract. Tracfone told me after December 31st I would need a 4 or 5 capable phone, mine is a 3. They said my triple minute contract would carry over on my new phone since the phone was still working. I have seen Tracfone Reps on Q and A for other phones here on Best Buy answer "YES", just like they told me. I would think to avoid Lawsuits, Legal would advise it to be cheaper to give triple minutes than to pay Court cost and Lawsuit Judgements.
