QuestionI have a standard (flip) tracfone with 8000 minutes and a “service end date” of Jan 2020. If I purchase a LG Rebel 4, can the minutes be transferred to the new phone (in 3 “buckets” 8000 minutes, 8000 texts, 8.0 G of data) as well as “service end date"?

- Answer I just upgraded to this phone from a 3-year old LG tracfone (semi-smart) that had 3100 minutes, 3100 texts, and 3.1 G of data and service end date 3/17/2020. It all transferred to the Rebel successfully.

- Answer It comes with android 8 and there is probably no way to upgrade to the newer 9. In the past the "budget" priced phones do not offer os upgrades. I guess they want you to buy a newer phone.

- Answer Straight Talk and Tracfone are sister companies. It may very well work with Straight Talk since ST has the same phone. Call Tracfone and be sure to get a representative (as opposed to canned operator) to find out. Tracfone now has some unlimited plans so you may be able to get a comparable plan to that of Straight Talk's plans and since they use the same network, why change? Tracfone number is 800-867-7183

- Answer I should be okay. Just make sure that you find a cover that fits. I dropped mine and a small crack started on the edge. I didn't know then without warning it spread faster than Heinz Ketchup.
