Hello, I posted the original question. Thank you very much for the responses! Where I saw the concerning specs was by comparing this range to my previous model (which died after 26 months of moderate use). When I check the compare feature on this model and scroll down to the Ignition type, it notes "Manual," whereas my dead model (still available) notes "Electric." This is the only spot that I see this, but I've a feeling it's an error. I now have had the new stove for about a week and just love it! It's stylish and performs extremely well. I am fanatical about cleaning it after use so it stays new looking. Thank you again my stove friends!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works just like most stoves, has electric ignite, turn knob and you hear clicking and that lights the stove. Not sure what they meant manual either. You will love the oven, works great. I would suggest staying on top of cleaning the top. It a beautiful stove when clean. Enjoy!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure where you are reading about manual ignition. This range has electronic ignition like all other modern gas ranges I've encountered. Mine was delivered in November 2019. It's been a great range. Clean up of the top surface is easy. I did have a 17 hour power outage recently and I was able to light the top burners manually with a standard butane candle / fireplace lighter. The oven can not be used without electric power as all controls are electronic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A manual ignition of a gas stove requires you to turn a knob to start the flow of gas. ^Daphane
