QuestionWhat does the Manual Ignition Type mean? My old model ignited automatically using electricity. I just ordered this and am now worried that this is lacking a key feature or modern technology. Thanks!

- Answer Hello, I posted the original question. Thank you very much for the responses! Where I saw the concerning specs was by comparing this range to my previous model (which died after 26 months of moderate use). When I check the compare feature on this model and scroll down to the Ignition type, it notes "Manual," whereas my dead model (still available) notes "Electric." This is the only spot that I see this, but I've a feeling it's an error. I now have had the new stove for about a week and just love it! It's stylish and performs extremely well. I am fanatical about cleaning it after use so it stays new looking. Thank you again my stove friends!

QuestionCan we fit child safety locks on the knobs? can the display screen lock to prevent children from pressing buttons?

- Answer You should be able to use child safety locks on the knobs. The Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door and most of the buttons on the control panel. It does not disable the timer and the interior oven light. ^Daphane

QuestionIt appears the gas connection coming out is a female connection, anyone know for sure and is it 5/8" or 1/2"?

- Answer Per the owner's manual it states to install a male 1/2" or 3/4" flare union adapter to the NPT internal thread of the manual shut-off valve. - Answer This unit does not have an exhaust fan. There are oven air vents. Air openings are located at the rear of the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven door, and at the bottom of the range. Please see the specifications to verify whether or not the range features an exhaust fan. ^Daphane

QuestionWhile oven is on door is closed I get an alarm "Door" and light turns on. Have to go over and push shut. This now constantly happens. Didn't happen first 6 months of ownership. Anyone have any idea how to fix or what to do?

- Answer I have the LG gas range. This has happened to me twice. The alarm would go off about every 5 minutes and would shut the oven off. Both times LG had to replace the stove. Unfortunately, in both cases LG was very slow to react and it was only after the store I bought the range from got involved did LG act.
