    • Answer Sorry for your loss. Unfortunately this dvd-rw player is designed to work internally for desktop PCs. Itd be too much work to get adaptors to make it work externally. For laptops, they do sell external drives that connect via USB.

Like most, if not all other DVD Optical Drives, the LG Super-Multi 24x Internal DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive, Model # GH24NSB0 has a a region code that allows you to play only DVDs in a specific region that have a matching region code. To play a regionalized DVD on your computer, you must set the drive to play discs from that region by selecting a geographic area from a drop list in your computer, but you can only change the region a limited number of times. After Changes Remaining reaches Zero, you will not be able to change the region even if you reinstall the operating system of use the DVD drive with another computer. It will remain locked on the last region you change it to. Usually, the number of changes permitted is 5...^Ivan.
