“Is there a water connection? This dryer is specified as having a steam cycle, but I see no hookup for a water line on the back panel. How does the dryer create steam if there is no source of water?”

• Hello drkillabrew. Thank you for your inquiry on the LG - TrueSteam 7.4 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Ultra-large-Capacity Steam Electric Dryer - Model # DLEX3570W. The unit does not require a water connection because it has a steam feeder that must be manually filled with only tap water to the max line. Distilled water cannot be used because the water level sensor in the steam generator will not work and you should not use hot water either...IFV

• IT HAS A PULL OUT TRAY IN FRONT YOU PUT WATER IN THERE FOR STEAM

• Tap water is poured into a tray in the front at the top left.

• There is a reservoir that holds water, you can take it out and fill it in the sink and you're good to go. No water connection.

• There is no water hookup, but none is needed. The steam function is controlled by a reservoir located in the upper left hand face of the dryer. Easy to access, remove and fill. This is a very helpful feature.

• There is a container in the drawer that you fill (like detergent/softener area) with water for steam. I wondered this as well at first because it is different than my older steam dryer.

• There is a small drawer that pulls out to fill with water for the steam just left of the power button...the user manual has directions.

• The is a flap with a container built in underneath for you to add preferably distilled water similar to the set up on a cars' windshield washer reservoir.
