For gaming, it is hard to beat, the picture quality is outstanding, the presets are great out of the box but you can fine tune contrast, sharpness, brightness etc to suite your needs. The colors are very accurate so i do not see a problem with video editing. I have 3 profiles set, one for gaming, one for video editing and the 3rd for watching movies. Over all i think you will love this monitor, especially if you play fast paced games such as fps, the response time is insane.
