I didn’t keep this monitor because of its price. This would be a great monitor if it cost around $500-$600. I also didn’t like the bezels because they are thick, the monitor doest get too bright either, compare to my LG 32 UltraFine 4K. If you have a 32 inch monitor, this monitor will feel small for you. This is basically a 27 inch monitor slightly wider. You do lose a massive vertical real state. Its around 2 inches shorter. The 1ms is basically useless, since it introduces inverse ghosting and this is very distracting. This monitor lack of speakers.
The monitor is very fast at 144hz everything feels buttery smooth, the stand feels really premium and sturdy. The software has tons of features and customizability, the crosshair is very useful. I like how organize are the settings on the monitor, and that I can adjust everything even the hue and saturation of each color, select multiple gama profiles, color profiles, etc.

Fantastic Screen

I have been a Samsung screen fan for the last few years, up until recently. I purchase an LG OLED 4k TV last year, and earlier this year I purchased the LG UltraWide model that was equivalent to this model. That screen was cranked in an accident so I purchased this one to replace it. I felt I had to, because once you go UltraWide, you can't go back to 16;9.
I do gaming in my free time, but I also did a lot of music production and video editing work. The UltraWide screens are amazing for these tasks. I have so much on my screen in my editing software, I hardly ever have to scroll or move Windows/Tool bars.
I didn't think this monitor was going to be too much better then last year's mode I had, but I was really surprised that it improves on it quite a bit. The HDR effort of this model is done really well for HDR gaming. I am getting 160fps on competitive games like Ridley League, and it's super smooth looking.
I have a RTX 2080ti gpu and the G-Sync works great with it. I wasn't happy with dishing out another $1000.00 for a monitor, but I discovered that it was gong to cost almost that amount to repair the last one where the screen was cracked.
I love LG's screens in their higher end devices. They are rather fragile, as any screen tends to be, but if there was a flaw with their panels, I'd say they are a little too fragile. Outside of that, I absolutely love this monitor.

Coming from a Alienware 3418DW.
Pros:
- extremely low input lag/response time
- HDR is nice
- Gsync compatible (no screen tearing)
- great refresh rate
Cons:
- doesn’t swivel
- HDR 400 can sometimes blow out certain dim images if near a bright image (think of a mountain in front of a sunset)
This is a neat perfect monitor. The only thing I can think that could’ve done differently that wouldn’t affect the price is the inclusion of a swivel base. Didn’t think I would want it, but it’s driving me crazy that the stand isn’t straight on my desk (nitpicking at best). A higher HDR certification and adding FALD zones or micro LEDS (for better HDR) would make the price higher, so I can’t knock it for that.
In short; if you’re looking for a great ultrawide gaming monitor, I can highly recommend this one.

Great monitor for gaming with the 144hz gsync enabled panel. The IPS display is beautiful and durable. And the size is perfect (for me). Its about the size of two 22/24 inch monitors side by side but cleaner looking, no bezels, and better snap features with windows 11, making is great for productivity.

WOW, I was using 2x Dell 27" 1440p 144hrt monitors and this one blows them away. Much better color, supports HDR, 160hrtz. Love this monitor, use a monitor mount gets rid of those feet that stick way out onto your desk.

This is the best purchase I’ve made alongside my new PC build. This monitor is perfect with its crisp display, beautiful colors, and the overclocked refresh rate of 160Hz. At first, I was skeptical of the hype for ultrawide monitors but honestly I don’t think I can go back to 16:9 after this. It does come with a hefty price tag but I believe it’s definitely worth it.
One thing to note is the panel lottery and backlight bleed. I swapped a jackpot 27GL850 with zero backlight bleed for this and I do notice a good amount of it in the lower right corner, but it’s definitely not a reason for me to return the monitor.
All in all, highly recommend!

Beautiful display. The colors are perfect, the brightness is just right and the gameplay is silky smooth.
How they integrated 1 joystick to control all the options is genius. Having it located on the lower bezel instead of the industry standard right side bezel is a very welcome touch.
The only con I have is the price. At ~$750 this would be an excellent deal but at full price (which I paid) $1000 its still worth it.
Highly recommend this monitor.

After several days of research, I decided that this monitor was on the very short list of upgrades for me. It ticks all the boxes for what I want: IPS, Adaptive Refresh, 160hz, 3440x1440, VESA compatible, and a subtle curve. Tim from Hardware Unboxed was my best resource regarding reviews.
My only complaint would be the glow in each corner when dark images are shown. It's really only noticeable during a screensaver though. I bought this model open-box, so I think it's possible that another customer was more unhappy about than I am.

The extra wide aspect ratio is great for an immersive gaming experience. The colors look great from most angles. The ultra fast refresh rate and low input lag have helped my COD game quite a bit. The only downside it that there is NO RGB... if you care about that stuff lol

The display has met all my expectations. I've had zero issues, the sample is a really good one. Backlight bleed is fairly minimal for an IPS display and really only at the furthest extent of the corners. Colors are phenomenal on this display, and while HDR content isn't the highest selling point for the display, it is a step up from not having it previously.
Games are spectacular and have added some life to my aging GTX 1070. While the price is a premium for this display, I have been really happy with it. PS4 renders fine, albeit soft (expected trying to render 1080p on a 1440p display) but the experience is still phenomenal with Ghost of Tsushima.

Stepping up from a Dell 60hz screen...

I realized that the bottleneck to my gaming system was indeed my Dell 34 inch 3440x1440 screen. I prefer the color profile of the Dell to all LG screens but having the extra FPS available is much more pleasing to my eye overall. You don't know what you are missing until you experience high refresh rate gaming. I cannot play PS4 Pro racing titles at 30fps on my 4k TV anymore as it just looks choppy now. This thing has really solidified me as a PC elitist gaming geek. Yes it is more expensive than a 65" 4k TV and no it doesn't have speakers like my old Dell, but boy this baby can fit so many frames in each second!

This monitor has been great! Colors are crisp, excellent performance and great looks. The only tiny bit I wish were different is the footprint of the monitor stand as I takes up just a little more of my desk then I wish it would. Really not an issue though, as I just want to put more stuff on my desk.
Could be cheaper, but you get what you pay for with these fast monitors.
Anyway I’m very happy with my purchase and would do it all again, and maybe if I had a bigger desk I would get a second one.

Whenever I am programming I open ide in one side and the resources on the other side. LG also has its own software for splitting screen into multiple screens. A good purchase. Also there are 2 hdmi ports so I connect my ubuntu laptop to one port and windows laptop to another port and I can easily switch between the screens through the monitor buttons. Only drawback is that their is no speaker. I wish I had bought an ultrawide monitor early and I could have saved myself from a lot of alt+tab to switch between the screens. Another drawback is that LG software for splitting screen is not available in linux operating systems, but you could use ubuntu's super key to split screen. Satisfied purchase.

Fast refresh rates, Great resolution, Great colors, minimal black light bleed, No ghosting.
One issue/not really is if your looking at this monitor cause it has thin bezels there is still a quarter inch of black from the bezel to the screen. Not a huge issue but i thought i was worth mentioning.
But overall better than my Dell s2719DGF gaming monitor, While not a huge upgrade from my 27" gaming monitor I will never got back.

This monitor is so sick and worth every penny. I have gone through about 3 monitors in the last 3 years and can honestly say this one blows them all out of the water. The colors are incredible, the action is smooth, and every one of my games looks that much better! The Ultrawide aspect is amazing and I don't think I could ever return to a simple 16:9 aspect. Total Immersion baby!

Great brightness, color reproduction, and referesh rate. The LED tech is great at mimicking MiniLED or QLED type displays but it is very obvious it isn't as sharp as those.

Overall, good picture quality. Much better gaming experience with high refresh rate and G-Sync compared to my old 28 inch 60hz monitor.
However... don't change the response time setting to faster, just leave it in fast to avoid color shift/ghosting when scrolling or viewing moving object. For example, when scrolling on web page, black text will leave behind a blue-ish ghost image.

Great upgrade from a 4yo Asus PG348Q

*disclaimer* I am a Geek Squad Agent and this is bestbuy.com
Was running an Asus PG348Q for the last +4yrs, and this was specifically a 'gysnc and freesync' upgrade and refresh rate upgrade.
-HDR mode in the monitor does make a difference but win10 support for HDR is horrid and will break explorer.exe and any games.
-Keep it on 'Fast' refresh rate for best response time consistency and color production
-160hz is plenty unless you somehow run games on a RTX 3090 then theres a comparable $2500 version from Asus you should buy instead
-I did test both freesync and gsync, Best Buy seems to have a few models that support both (B designation in model number?)
-OSD is what I'd expect for 2020, my PG348Q was ahead of its time and is now the standard with analog stick controls
-The chassis is cheap plastic compared to the PG348Q but that monitor was $300 more 4yo and you did pay for the metal chassis/frame/stand.
-Stand only has height, so if you're looking for more use a VESA mount. With UW displays I'd do it anyways because of how large the stands have to be if your desk isn't very deep.
