• I connected my old iPod using the AUX connection. You can pick up an AUX cable for a few bucks.

• Yes, can can connect a laptop, Smartphone, iPod or CD player to the Aux 1 port. When the sleep timer is set the system to turn off automatically at a specified time. CDs is played automatically after disc tray is opened and then closed. ^Daphane
