Display shows s protection and speakers just hum null

Good sound, just right for my needs

"S Protection" indicates that there is a short in the LG XBOOM 700W 2.1ch Mini Shelf System with Subwoofer and Bluetooth®, Model # CM4590 and the system has gone into the "S Protection" mode to protect itself. Check your speaker wires to enure that they are not splayed and touching each other causing the short. If the speakers wires are not the issue, the short could be in the speakers or in the output amp and the unit will require a repair service...^IFV
