Hi John This system can only be hooked up to a tv if the tv has Bluetooth capabilities or an Aux out.

The speaker does have 2 USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity to support hookup to a TV. ^Daphane

Yes with direct wire audio cables. Wireless connection only if you have LG smart tv.
