Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think it is safe enough which is why I took mine back and bought an otterbox. The smallest spot that might not seal correctly will let water in to your screen. The company states that it is waterproof but I didn't trust it. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The case did not come with a cover for the face for the iPod. I would not feel safe letting the iPod go under water. As far as the dirt it would be safe. I would recommend looking at it first before buying and asking someone in that department.
