I have gotten a "robust" (larger than standard iPhone cable) connector to fit - but the "robust" connector on cables from "Amazon Basics" do NOT work with any Lifeproof case I've used. If possible, try the cable before you buy it - or try the Otterbox Defender case - not waterproof, but very protective otherwise.
