No. I have had this case on my iPhone 12 and so far, no one has a problem hearing me. I bought mine about a month or so ago.

I bought one off the EB a few years ago for an older iphone and it did that rout from the beginning. It was probably a knock off case. If you can return it to Amazon. It could also be a knock off case from Amazon. I've never had a problem with a new case from Best buy. FYI, Lifeproof has a lifetime replacement, you just pay the shipping. Best of luck.
