It fits oddly over the cameras on the iPhone 12. But the case itself it a nice upgrade from how they used to be made. They are expensive tho!

I upgraded to the iPhone 12 from the iPhone XR and throughout my having iPhones in the past I’ve always gotten life proof fre cases. My life proof fre’ case I had on my iPhone XR looked like it was chewed on by a bear and served as a hockey puck for the Stanley Cup. I was very surprised that my phone looked as new as a day I first bought it. The case did it’s job and took all the abuse I put it through. Now having the iPhone 12 and in a life proof fre’ case, I have no doubt that it will perform just as well as my other one did. But there is one thing you must do to the case to help the face ID recognition on your phone. There is a clear tab over the front lens on the inside of the case that you must remove in order for the face recognition to work properly. I don’t know why life proof put it there but there is no need for it just remove it and everything is just fine. At least that’s what the life proof rep told me and it works. The case is nice and slim it is not bulky and considering the iPhone 12 is lighter than the XR, it’s a win-win!

I had the same problem as everyone else with the Face ID. I went to the LifeProof website and found this, hopefully this helps everyone who has already bought this case. Hi there! We're sorry to hear that you're having troubles using FaceID in your FRĒ case! Thankfully, we have a great walk through to modify your case that should resolve this issue. Step 1: Open your case and remove your device . Step 2: Lay the front of the case down on a flat hard surface with the screen protector surface facing down (the Silence Switch will be on your right). Step 3: Centered near the top of the inside of the screen protector, you’ll see two small clear stickers. Using your fingernail, remove the sticker on the right (leave the left sticker in place). Step 4: You may need to use some isopropol or rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to remove glue residue left by the sticker you removed. After doing that, your case should be good to go! Protects phone good! I bought for my dad who is a road worker and is hard on his phone. Hasn’t broke his phone since this has been on!! Definitely recommend

LifeProof makes fantastic cases! Easy to put on and take off and it definitely protects my new iPhone. This one does a good job of protecting without feeling too bulky.

LifeProof has done it again! Sleek design while still being water/drop proof. Not too bulky either!

Always use lifeproof fre for my dads phone. He works construction and the fre keeps all the dust out. Just needs a tighter fit on the phone.

Great protection, heavy duty, its just a bit pricey, easy to use.

This case is excellent protect hold up pretty good too!

Like the protection. Feels good to use. Facial recognition does not work with case on ,out of box. If you need that feature then you may not want this case. Some reviews say you can manipulate the stock case in order to achieve, I have not attempted as I do not want ruin a pretty expensive case.

This life proof case was purchased for my husband, a finish carpenter. He has to have a case that completely covers his phone to keep out sawdust. We have been using life proof or otter box cases for years. Life proof was the only available completely covering case available when we went to make a purchase. Life proof has continued to live up to its name. Worthy purchase.

Great case. Will protect phone from water and drops. I got this case as a gift and used it myself. I've dropped my phone numerous times and bring it in areas of water exporsure. After 3+ years of using it, my phone still looks brand new.

The case is thinner than my usual otterbox defender case I buy but the gasket that makes this case waterproof is terrible. Good luck getting it back in place if it falls out when taking the case apart. Also, I hate that the belt clip doesn’t come with such an expensive case.

I've used these cases since my iPhone 6 and never a broken phone. Play a lot of baseball and softball and no dust/sand in the phone. Have not tried the waterproof feature out yet thankfully.

The face recognition doesn’t work with this case on it as is. I had to read other reviews to know the problem can be resolved by scratching off the two sticky dots covering the front facing camera on the inside of the case. It’s disappointing that they wouldn’t have caught that before production.

My phone looks great in this case. If offers peace of mind to know that my phone won't break if I should drop it as I have done before. The reason I do not give this review a 5 star is that the case for being so protective causes the sound to morph

The case is a nice slim design, so it doesn't add a lot of bulk, or weight, while providing good protection.

Protects wonderfully, however, facial recognition is 50-50 in the case, as well as wireless charging, which is a problem, for me at least. I did NOT experience these issues with the fré case with my iPhone XR, so having them with this case is problematic. If you plan to use these conveniences regularly, you might do better with a different case. It STILL offers SIGNIFICANT PROTECTION for your iPhone, but could use some improvement in those other areas.

Have had this case for a few weeks. I do not use FaceID which is the main complaint on this case so I cannot comment if it works or not. I bought this case for the waterproof aspect of it. My job requires me to be outside in the elements and working in/near/around water. I have had a slip or two in the past and if I did not have a waterproof case, my phone would have been destroyed. The initial waterproof test passed and so far, I have no complaints.

This is a great item to protect your iPhone. It’s very too busy and easy to install
