Yes, it is waterproof. I tested it in the sink for a couple of hours before putting my phone in it. Since then, I've accidentally dropped it in the sink twice with no problems.

Just like it says in the directions, it's best to always do a water test before taking it in water. But, I have had this case for a while now and it is water proof just like any other life proof product.

In my opinion it's not completely water proof because of the openings for the ports but when it's put on correctly it should be.
