“Does the front have a plastic cover or is it an open cover where you actually touch the screen when you use it? I see the back has the clear cover, just cant tell by the pic if the front does too.”

There is no cover over the screen. You touch the actual phone screen.

No plastic cover, you just lay your phone in it. It's an open cover.

You physically touch the screen. There is no plastic protective cover like an otterbox case. I have a tempered glass screen protector, and the case does not touch it.
